Project Highlights
Herold Engineering Limited civil and structural groups completed the detailed design and construction phase of a replacement pedestrian bridge, 100m of PVC and ductile iron sanitary and insulated water main on Keats Street near Hillside Centre in the District of Saanich.
The work under this Contract includes the replacement of the Keats Street Pedestrian Bridge, including installation of 71m of PVC Sanitary Sewer, 30m of Cast Iron Sanitary Sewer, 36m of Cast Iron Watermain, 2 – Type “A” luminaires and underground conduit, restoration of asphalt and creek bank, removal of the existing bridge and utilities..
The bridge spans the environmentally sensitive Bowker Creek and Herold engaged a landscape architect and an environmental consultant to ensure that a solution for the bridge crossing included restoration of the surrounding area.
